I have frequented this place so many times that its safe to call it my second home (at one point, I could actually be seen there almost every other day of the week, however, that is a usual trend witnessed among Big Chill lovers :D) . Right from the very start, when they opened their first outlet in East of Kailash to the recently renovated big space in Khan Market and now a space at Promenade, Vasant Kunj, the one thing that remains consistent about this place is the absolutely fantastic quality of food. Italian restaurants have come and gone in Delhi, but I always find myself going back to Big Chill. Recommendations from the menu: Having gone so many times, I still haven’t been able to try each and every item on the gigantic menu. However, certain dishes that are my absolute favourite are the Baked Penne with Chicken and Mozzarella(no. 169) and Fusilli with Chicken and Piri Piri Sauce. If you want to go in for something slightly healthier or lighter, the “Grills and Main Dishes” section offers the Grilled Breast of Chicken. The Piri-Piri Chicken or Fish are also great.

I am not much of a salad eater but the Grilled Chicken Salad and the Caesar Salad are great options. For pizzas: go for the Four-Fourths Pizza (if you are a meat lover). For vegetarians, try the Fusilli with Mushroom in White Sauce, or the Baked Penne with Mozzarella and Broccoli. My personal favorite is the Penne Primavera (it has all the garden vegetables in abundance so only try if you are a fan). Desserts: Chocolate Super fudge Brownies, the Squidgy Cake, Chocolate Mousse and the Waffles. These are all my favorites (in order of preference). However, a lot of my friends also swear by the Mississippi Mud Pie, Blueberry Cheesecake, Banofee Pie and the Apple Crumble.

Also, each and every one of the shakes and icecreams here is to die for (depending on your personal flavor preference, I love the belgian chocolate shake and the chocolate superfudge icecream, I guess its obvious that I am a chocolate person :p), the shakes are incredibly filling so you would want to go a bit low on the food order if you are ordering one of these, unless you are an absolute foodie :D. I would give it a 4.8 on 5. The minus 0.2 only because there is always room for more improvement and also because there have been very few experiences where Big Chill has not lived up to my expectations (but only because they have been set so high in the first place).

P.p.s. on my recent visit I tried some of the items off the specials sections:

1. Baked Crepes stuffed Non-veg: this is served with a spinach pesto sauce, I personally would have preferred basil pesto instead of Spinach and regular chicken instead of chicken saucages.

2. Chicken in mushroom sauce (don’t remember the exact name): this is definitely worth a try, although don’t expect it to be healthy coz of the grilled chicken, the mushroom sauce is quite cheesy and might I add, Yummy too 🙂
